RIZEN Atelier and Charter Hall have transformed a subterranean space into a wellness focused urban sanctuary that combines end of trip facilities with hospitality inspired amenities. Located at 10 Shelley St in Sydney’s Barangaroo precinct, this new amenity sets the benchmark for the next general of commercial amenities.
Tasked with upgrading an existing end of trip space to align with Charter Hall’s premium asset portfolio, RIZEN Atelier reimagined the space as a destination rather than a transient facility. Working within the constraints of the existing flooring and plumbing, the design elevates the user experience through a focus on wellness, atmosphere, and sensory engagement.
At the heart of the concept is the creation of a calming, light filled, immersive environment. Soft, integrated lighting concealed within custom metal framing guides visitors through the space and steps in their routine. Central grooming stations are anchored by a large illuminated Barrisol ceiling and curved bulkhead, creating a sense of openness and presence within both the male and female amenities.

A custom scent station at each amenity entrance enhances the sensory experience, offering fragrance, Two Good hand cream, and sanitiser within a softly illuminated setting. Premium amenities including Dyson hair products, garment steamers, and ironing stations further support daily routines, creating the state-of-the-art wellness facility. Every element was carefully planned to be intuitive, spacious, and highly functional, ensuring seamless circulation and ease of use, even during peak periods.
Beyond the amenities, RIZEN introduced a hospitality-inspired lounge area where visitors can hydrate, connect with colleagues, or unwind before and after using the facilities. Featuring a banquette lounge with integrated coffee tables, and a hydration station, this space extends the wellness offering beyond the bathrooms themselves.
Opened to tenants in June, the transformed end of trip facility has received overwhelmingly positive feedback, establishing a new benchmark for workplace wellness amenities.
